About us

A registered non-profit organization, the Choir was founded in 1983 with the purpose of promoting both Chinese and Western music in the Greater Toronto Area. It is made up of several dozens of keen music lovers.
Over its 26-year history, the Choir has been constantly exposed to the direction of many distinguished conductors, particularly with Mr. Yanqiao Wang, a renowned musician graduated from the Central Observatory of Music in Beijing, who has been providing the musical leadership for the past 13 years from 1991 to 2004. After Mr. Wang’s return to his alma mater, the Choir has been directed by Mr. Liu Zhipei in 2004.
The choir is now under the directions of Mr. Andrew Chung.
